The Cau Lamp is an avatar in which the lampshade is in the shape of a classic, bourgeois lamp and the lighting source is the garage lamp, a highly functional work light to which
Castiglione paid tribute in several of his designs. The Cau Lamp goes undercover as a workerlamp in order to sneak into aristocratic or bourgeois environments.
