Canvas Furniture | Design Tide | Tokyo | 2007 |
Pieces of furniture upholstered in canvas with a logo on it. Lamp, chair, armchair without arm, low table and wall clock. In white, series of 250 numbered and signed. Painted, pieces signed by the artist. Transportable canvas as a support for painting was invented in the Renaissance. For Ezra Pound it represented the beginning of capitalism and the democratization of the art world. Paintings that were usually connected to architecture and painted on walls became, with canvas, easy to transport and relocate. In this way they were easy to deal and do business with.
