Amidst the pandemic, the studio was involved in a design project for a collection of wine glasses intended for an emerging new wine culture in China. The target audience comprised young individuals with a lack of tradition in wine tasting but a strong desire to explore. The project aims to make wine culture accessible to a new generation in China.
The design approach focused on incorporating formal, aesthetic, and geometric elements, primarily drawn from the furniture of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). This strategy brought the designs closer to users, fostering a sense of rapport and empathy with the act of wine tasting. The familiarity of these design elements forged subconscious connections. This collection, produced by Liang Mu, has been available for purchase in China since 2021.
椋木逐浪系列酒杯
疫情期间,我参与了一个专为中国新兴的葡萄酒文化设计一系列酒杯的项目。目标受众主要是缺乏品酒习惯,但具有强烈探索欲望的年轻人。此项目为的是让中国的新世代能轻易地接触并接纳葡萄酒文化。
逐浪系列酒杯的设计方法着重于融合形体、美学和几何元素,其灵感取自传统明朝家具曲线。此策略使设计更贴近使用者,进而培养对于品酒习惯的共鸣与共情。这些设计元素的熟悉感将与使用者产生潜意识的连结。逐浪系列酒杯由椋木制作,自 2021 年起在中国发售。
