Concepts and Ideas for Commercial Purposes
Food ideas is a laboratory space dedicated to gastronomic science and food design. Contemporary by its unfinished nature, it is a hybrid space that can be a classroom, a show-cooking space, a laboratory or a showroom. It is embedded into the BASE coworking centre in the Tortona zone of Milan. Food Ideas is configured into three basic spaces: the cookery-classroom area, the office area and the museum. While the classroom and the office are behind glass windows, the museum consists of 4 standing glass cases within the coworking space. The ambiguity of the space corresponds to its function and so un-defines the borders between design, food design, food sciences and gastronomy.
